Jijenge Kijana Fund

ABOUT

This fund was established by ITF to support entrepreneurial efforts of the youth. It was introduced in March 2015 as a livelihood pathway by offering micro-credit to ITF members to start up productive and stable means of livelihood. The micro-credit was preceded by entrepreneurial training.

APPLICATION PROCESS

A member must make a proposal to ITF which should include the following:

  1.  A one page formal letter to the secretary general - ITF introducing themselves, their venture, why they need the Jijenge Fund, the amount requested, how it will be used and how it will be repaid.

  2. Detailed description of the venture (separate from the formal letter) to include information such as how the venture operates and for how long it has been in operation, as well as information on financials. This document must include everything about the business including registration documents.

  3.  The funding need, breakdown of the amount being asked for from ITF and a repayment plan of the same.
